Our Bite-sized Bakery

New York Treats in Central Texas

We moved from NYC to Austin in 2020 and missed our favorite Jewish delis and Chinatown bakeries. To fill this gap, we simply started baking our own rugelach and babka.

We now get to share these nostalgic, New York flavors with you!

This was my introduction to rugelach cookies and I was not disappointed! They’re delicious, guilt free bites. I thought they had just the right amount of jam/sweetness and walnut bits, wrapped in melt-in-your-mouth dough. I’ve tried the variety of flavors - my favorites are the fruity ones and Pandan. Definitely buying some for the family to enjoy for the holidays.

I was lucky enough to be gifted a delicious batch of rugelach from Little Twist Bakery! Or rather… my four-year old daughter was. But I didn’t tell her about them… instead I kept them to myself and had them for breakfast every day for at least a week! The dough was super flaky without being dry. And the filling had just the right amount of sweetness with a pinch of savory. I have a sweet tooth but I try to have savory breakfasts most of the time. So it was a win! About to put in my next order but I’ll get extra and share this time.
